The Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania in Ankara participated in the Kastamonu Summit 2026, convened from 28–30 July in Kastamonu, Republic of Türkiye. The Summit was organized by ULUSKON (International Investment and Business Confederation), the Kastamonu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KATSO), and the Kastamonu Commodity Exchange. It brought together ambassadors accredited to Türkiye, diplomatic missions, Turkish officials, business leaders, and investors. The overarching aim was to strengthen economic diplomacy, promote investment opportunities, and foster regional cooperation.

The Summit focused on enhancing industrial infrastructure, agriculture, forestry, mining, tourism, and logistics in Türkiye’s Western Black Sea region. It provided a platform for export development, global trade discussions, and investment incentives. A key feature was the facilitation of B2B meetings between ambassadors and Turkish business leaders, designed to encourage direct partnerships and long-term cooperation.

The Embassy actively engaged in bilateral discussions with Turkish representatives, presenting Tanzania’s potential in agriculture, eco-tourism, manufacturing, mining, and logistics infrastructure. The Embassy emphasized Tanzania’s readiness to collaborate with Turkish partners in advancing mutual economic interests. This participation not only strengthened Tanzania’s diplomatic visibility but also positioned the country as a proactive partner in Türkiye’s regional initiatives.
