The Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania in Ankara Turkey with the President of the United Republic of Tanzania and all Tanzanians saddened by the passing of the Former President H.E Benjamin William Mkapa who peacefully passed on 24 July 2020.

President Dr. Magufuli has declared seven days of National mourning. Tanzanians will pay their last respect for three days from 26-28 July 2020 in Dar Es Salaam and he will be laid to rest on 29 July 2020 at his home village in Masasi.

Four countries for East African Countries (EAC) Kenya, Burundi, Uganda and Rwanda sent a message of condolence to President John Magufuli, the people of the United Republic of Tanzania and the family of Former President Benjamin Mkapa and also declared three days of National mourning. 

Either the Embassy would like to invite all Diaspora at the Embassy in Ankara for their message of condolence of Former President Mkapa.
