Honorable Ambassador of The United Republic of Tanzania Prof. Elizabeth K. Kiondo met with the Governor of Sakarya Mr Ahmet Hamdi Nayir at the Governor´s office. This is due to the invitation of Sakarya Commodity Exchange on 27-29 November 2019 at Sakarya. The visit will strengthen the bilateral and economic cooperation between Tanzania and Turkey so as to increase cooperation and trade. Also the missions objective of increasing economic, educational, social and political relations.
Sakarya visit was comprised with meetings and presentations with the Sakarya Commodity Exchange Chairman Mr Adem Sarı, Board and Members, Meeting with the Mayor of Sakarya Mr Ekrem Yuce, Meeting with the Rector of Sakarya University of Applied Sciences Dr Mehmet Sarıbıyık, Meeting with the Rector of Sakarya University , Meeting with Tanzania Students in Sakarya and Visits to Factories in Sakarya Organized Industrial Zone.
The feedback from Sakarya Commodity Exchange, Institutions, Universities and Business community towards Tanzania was extremely positive. Due to that, Sakarya Chamber of Industry and Sakarya Business Community along with Sakarya Commodity Exchange will organize a delegation to visit Tanzania 2020 so as to explore trade and Investment Opportunities.
